Injuries to the tree in the splash water area (< 50 cm; 20 in) always mean an increased risk of fungal and rot infestation.
Wounds on the tree should not come into contact with dirty water from the ground. We therefore recommend a minimum distance of > 50 cm (20 in) between the tree fixings and the ground. Alternatively, constructive driving rain protection is recommended.
