How thick do wooden boards / floor boards have to be for the planking of the treehouse platform?

The minimum thickness / strength of the boards depends on the spacing of the platform beams below them:

If you choose thinner boards, they will bounce and sag uncomfortably, which does not feel safe. Unnecessarily thick floorboards, on the other hand, add weight, cost more and are more complex to work with.
