Assembly instructions & video
To install the GTS Screws, a hole must be pre-drilled in the tree – you can find the right installation tools in our shop.
Detailed step-by-step instructions can be found on our YouTube channel.

Open up new possibilities!
With this kit, you can build four sturdy wooden brackets that are attached to the side of the tree. This creates a stable base for a spacious platform – regardless of the tree's growth pattern.
The brackets are also ideal for treetop walkways or adventure courses, allowing walkways and footbridges to be attached to the tree elegantly, safely and gently.
Professional installation tips – Side Tree Braces

Only in pairs with counter bearing!
If a Tree Brace is loaded far outwards, lever and tensile forces are generated on the upper GTS Side. To eliminate these forces, a counter bearing is necessary. Therefore, Tree Braces must always be mounted in pairs and opposite each other on the trunk – this is the only way to ensure maximum load capacity and safety.

Avoid twisting movements
Tree Braces should primarily be loaded vertically. Lateral forces with a long lever arm can damage the drill hole of the upper tree bolt. To prevent wobbling or twisting of the platform, additional anchoring is recommended – for example, by means of a staircase set in concrete and connected to the platform.

Installation in crooked trees
A major advantage of the Tree Brace Attachments over classic triangular designs is that each Tree Brace Attachment can be individually adjusted to the shape of the tree. This allows you to mount the treehouse precisely and flexibly, even on slanted trunks or thick branches – without any compromises.

Tree Brace or Triangle Support Structure?
Tribeam Support Structures are often the better choice because their closed construction makes them particularly rigid and stable. Another advantage is that the tree has more room to grow because the beams can be mounted at a distance – unlike with the GTS Side, where they sit close to the end grain.
Tree Brace Attachments, on the other hand, offer maximum flexibility – ideal if you need to accommodate irregular growth patterns or thick branches.
In some cases, a combination of Tribeam and Tree Brace Attachments is the best solution.
For more information, see Step 9: Support Structures.
How do I mount the screws at the same height?
A simple tube level is the cheapest (10 - 15 €) and most effective solution:
- Mark the centre of the drill hole for the first GTS Screw.
- Transfer the height to all other trees using a hose level and water level.
- Ensure that the GTS Screws are perfectly aligned, using a compass for example.
You can find detailed instructions on our YouTube channel.
How thick do my wooden beams need to be?
That depends on the span, the load and the area of application. You can find all the details in our Step 11: Timber guide.
How do I connect the wooden beams?
For stable connections of the floor joists, we recommend partially threaded screws:
- Up to 160 mm in length: stainless steel screws (ø 6–8 mm)
- From 160 mm: galvanised screws (ø 6–10 mm)
Joints can be made smooth. Secure heavily loaded areas with additional fully threaded screws, angle brackets or PU glue.
You will find everything you need to get started in our Wood Screw Pack.
