Strut-Connector GTS

Dimensions for strut
Wooden beams:
- Square timber length < 2 m (6.6 ft): 9 × 9 cm
- Square timber length < 3 m (9.8 ft): 12 × 12 cm
- Maximum strut length 3 m (9,8 ft)
Steel tube:
- Remove Hex Nut (angle grinder)
- Tube inner diameter: 25 - 28 mm
- Wall thickness depending on length and load 4 - 10 mm
- Maximum strut length 3 m (9,8 ft)
Assembly: Quick guide
- The strut must be firmly connected to the platform at the top with several long wood screws and, in case of high loads, additionally with a steel plate.
- The length of the strut to the tree can be measured roughly; it is better to leave it a little too long and saw it down later.
- Once a suitable spot on the tree has been found, pre-drill with a ø 36 mm drill bit and screw the screw into the tree.
- Then pre-drill the Strut Connector, mount it, adjust it to the desired length with the turntable and screw it tight.

Assembly & construction instructions

Height adjustable
The height-adjustable disc allows the length of the strut to be adjusted retrospectively, making it easy to raise and lower the platform and position it perfectly in the water. To adjust, you will need a 36 mm (M24) open-end wrench or a pipe wrench, with an extension if necessary.

Load Capacity up to 1,000 kg
The load capacity per GTS Strut Connector should not exceed 1000 kg (at 45° pressure in the direction of the boom). Depending on the direction of the load and the lever arm, several struts can be mounted on one GTS.

Easy installation with 90° cut
The threaded rod (ø 24 mm) is pre-drilled in the centre of the wooden strut. The beam is roughly cut to 90° at the bottom – it is better to leave it a little too long and shorten it again if necessary. Once the strut is mounted between the GTS and the platform, it is clamped tightly and the turntable is attached to the beam with wood screws.
