* Important: The actual load capacity depends on many factors, e.g. lever arm, load direction or wood strength. Always calculate with a safety factor!
Lateral lever forces on the GTS Friend must be avoided, especially in softwood!

Shipping & Delivery
This treehouse was built in Budapest, Hungary, in the summer of 2020. I have to say that building this for the children was definitely the best thing I did during the coronavirus pandemic. The children love it!

The treehouse is mainly intended for our 8-year-old son Toni, but is now used by the whole family. Inside, there are two levels, a main room with windows on both sides and a cosy corner above.

Are you looking for a professional fastening for your children's playhouse? Then you've come to the right place. The adjustable triangles can be flexibly mounted in 1 or 2 trees. The load capacity is lower than with our large sets (M - XXL) – but ideal if only a thin trunk is available. Solid. Safe. Tree-friendly.

Variable triangle angle
Unlike the Solid Tribeam Bracket with a closed back wall, the Vario Beam Bracket allows you to freely adjust the angle of the struts – from 90° (steep) to 120° (flat).
This makes it easy to avoid thick branches and gives you even more flexibility when designing your platform.
Leverage forces at a glance!
Important note: The GTS Friend (as the lower screw) is only suitable for low horizontal loads – especially in softwood. Avoid one-sided loads, lever and twisting movements. As soon as the trunk is large enough (> 35 cm), we recommend the stronger GTS Allstar!
Tree + stilts
The small triangle is ideal for light tree stilts in thinner trees.
For trunk diameters of 35 cm (13.8 in) or more, we recommend the larger tree bolts – they create more distance between the beams and the tree so that the trunk can continue to grow unhindered.

This Tribeam Kit in size S is ideal for small platforms and lightweight children's playhouses. As soon as larger loads are expected and the trunk is thicker than 35 cm, we recommend the GTS Allstar – it carries significantly more, is safer and, thanks to its long shank, gives the tree more room to grow.

Will my treehouse grow upwards with the tree?
Don't worry, you don't have to extend the ladder to the treehouse every year – your treehouse will always remain at the same height. Trees only grow upwards at the tips of their branches; the trunk grows in width. This growth in thickness (3–15 mm per annual ring) must be taken into account when building the platform!
Can I also use screws from the hardware store for Treehouse Fastening?
Our practical experience: No!
The screws, threaded rods and bolts from DIY stores are not suitable for the extreme loads of a treehouse. The frequent alternating loads caused by wind are particularly problematic, as they can lead to fatigue fractures in normal wood screws over time.
In addition, the treehouse construction must be at a distance from the tree so that it can continue to grow in width. Only professional treehouse screws can reliably cope with the distance and the associated lever forces!
How do I connect the wooden beams?
For stable connections of the floor joists, we recommend partially threaded screws:
- Up to 160 mm in length: stainless steel screws (ø 6–8 mm)
- From 160 mm: galvanised screws (ø 6–10 mm)
Joints can be made smooth. Secure heavily loaded areas additionally with full thread screws, angle plates or PU glue.

Are treehouse building instructions safe?
The internet is full of treehouse instructions and beautiful DIY videos – but be careful! Often, amateurish or tree-damaging attachment methods are shown, which in the worst case can even be dangerous.
With us, you won't get experiments, but tried-and-tested, tree-friendly solutions at a professional level!
