Load Capacity – GTS Safety 2.0
Guidelines for the load capacity of the GTS Safety 2.0 when loaded in the centre of the shank (lever arm 1 cm):
- Vertical: 400 - 1100 kg
- Horizontal: 300 - 600 kg
- Pulling out: 300 - 600 kg
These values are guidelines only – the exact load capacity depends greatly on the type of tree and the direction of the load!
The load capacity should never be pushed to its limits!

Important helper for reinforcing, securing & stabilising
Our smallest GTS Safety comes with a short shank and practically no lever arm – this ensures a surprisingly high load capacity.
As a rope suspension, it can hold up to 400 kg in softwood and 800 kg in hardwood (e.g. oak). If it is pressed into the tree under pressure, for example with the GTS+ BackUp or the Strut Connector Safety, the load capacity increases significantly.
Thanks to its simple installation and a minimum trunk diameter of only 20 cm (7.9 in), it is flexible in use – even on branches, forked trees or slender neighbouring trees. Ideal for reinforcing wobbly or overloaded platform areas.
Anchor point for cables on the tree
With the new ‘Tree Thread 2.0’, the screw can be installed in no time at all and is much more resilient than comparable threaded rods and normal wood screws! The rope should run as vertically downwards as possible. If necessary, a M20 ring nut can be installed instead of the Hex Nut supplied.
Maximise load capacity – from below
With the GTS+ BackUp System, you can almost double the load capacity of your large GTS Screws. The GTS Safety is pressed firmly into the tree. With the turnbuckle, you can also push a sagging screw back up into place.

Alternatively, you can use the GTS Safety and a turnbuckle to secure the GTS Screws from above and significantly increase the load capacity. Which method you choose depends mainly on where you can best attach the GTS Safety.
Example with accessories
Here, 4 height-adjustable struts have been mounted to support the platform above (without treehouse). The freedom in arranging the struts on the tree is clearly visible. The Hex Nuts were subsequently painted black by the customer – very sexy!
