Tips for installing GTS tree bolts
Tips for screwing in the GTS
After pre-drilling, insert the GTS into the drill hole and turn it firmly into the tree. Make sure that you do not overtighten the screws in very soft wood (e.g. spruce, pine, poplar).
Safety during installation
✔ Always make sure you have a firm footing
✔ Secure yourself to the tree (climbing harness)
✔ Always hold the ratchet with both hands
✔ Make sure that no one is below you
Only professional quality is reliable
When installing tree bolts, normal pipe wrenches and hobby ratchets are out of place. Even powerful impact wrenches quickly reach their limits here. What works reliably, however, is a 70 cm lever arm, a few friends and a lot of elbow grease!
