Hello 2025 – Hello to 9 years of TheTreehouse.Shop!

First of all, a big THANK YOU to all of you! You are the best! Thank you for browsing our website, putting your trust in us and motivating us to get a little better every year. We are starting the new year with our annual Treehouse Photo / Video Competition:

Our jury didn’t have an easy time at the 2024 awards evening either. And before anyone complains again that they didn’t make it onto the podium:

  1. Our jury is a colourful mix. 4 adults, 4 children, 2 cats, 1 dog and, not to forget, an extremely opinionated housefly.
  2. We judge strictly but fairly – with slips of paper, points and clear winners. No cheating, we promise!
  3. It’s about fun, treehouses and creativity, not winning a million in the lottery!

One thing’s for sure: We’re celebrating all your treehouses! Each one is full of heart and soul, and we know exactly how much work goes into it. Sometimes a small, charming house makes it onto the podium – even if there’s a palace next to it that leaves us speechless. That’s just the way it is with us.

What do we love the most? Your crazy ideas, unique styles and beaming faces when your treehouse dreams come true. That’s exactly why we do what we do. And that’s why we’re looking forward to another great year with you!

Here’s to a magical 2025! 🌟

Your Treehouse.shop team

Place 1: Karl Krull (GER) – Hex Hex Hexagon Treehouses!

Karl’s tree house enchanted the entire jury! He is an incredibly talented craftsman and hexagon master! Not only the craftsmanship (sloping walls, tree through the house, tin roof, bay window, facade and co), but above all the creativity and the artistic details with old skateboards, lead glass and magical lighting design have led to a well-deserved 1st place!

Keep building and celebrating and enjoy the wild life in the treehouse!

Place 2: Thomas Winkler (AT) – The magic barn from Tyrol

Oh lala, several childhood dreams come true here! Thomas and his helpers have invested a lot of time and effort in conjuring up this play paradise at lofty heights: the little ones can let off steam on the many colourful pieces of play equipment around the treehouse, while the grown-ups enjoy the view of the Alps. We particularly liked the many small improvised structures that were built criss-cross from scraps of wood – pretty wild! The children are certainly proud of their dad!

Thomas wrote us this nice text:

“Good morning Vitus!

Enclosed is my tree house project, which unfortunately took me a little longer than I thought😊 But it all started when I came across your tree house screws and then the project was already in my head! My grandchildren and their friends can hardly get away from it and now it’s even a small attraction for all hikers and bikers who use the path into the valley a little below the tree house. There’s hardly anyone who doesn’t want to know exactly what I did there and, above all, how I did it! It’s interesting how much enthusiasm a little bit of wood can generate😊 There are a few more ideas that I want to realise in the near future and I’ll be happy to keep you up to date!

Place 3: Achim Vossloh (GER) – Hut off, Hut on!

Achim is not only a master of ingenious supporting structures – hats off! – but has also shown what he can do with the roof construction – hats off! Overall, we think the tree house is very successful, both technically and aesthetically. It fits wonderfully into the corner of the garden!

Achim wrote us this nice text:

Place 4: Barry & Christine Eagles (GER) – Chase your dreams!

“Chase your dreams, soar like eagles & let your imagination fly” steht auf dem Schild, das den Eingang des Baumhauses ziert. Genau das wünschen wir unseren Eagles – ihr seid eine sympathische Familie mit Visionen, das sieht man auch an eurem liebevollen Baumhaus!

Place 5: Mark Bebb (UK) – Oakland View

What kind of happy child sits enthroned above the fields of England? We love this tree house (with stilts) and its little inhabitants and wish them lots of fun!

Place 6: Carsten Gumz (GER) – Flying coconut

At least as happy are the children who get to live in this pretty tree house with a view of the river. To be honest, this flying coconut was our favourite of all the tree houses. 6th place or not, it’s the absolute winner of hearts!

DIY Treehouse – Carsten Gumz (GER)

Carsten wrote us this nice text:

“Dear Treehouse-Shop Team,

We are pleased to accept your invitation and enclose photos of our treehouse project … with which we had a lot of fun … also thanks to your perfectly functioning components, which hold the house securely … our idea was to integrate as much nature as possible into the trees – so in addition to wood, bark on the “facade”, palm fronds on the roof, hemp on the railings and of course the round shape of a … tree!

Have a good start to the new year and good luck with your hopefully dream job!

Best wishes from Nele (Nelitschka), Dad, Roli and many other helping friends.”

Carsten Gumz

As always, the decision was not easy for our jury. Those who didn’t make it onto the winners’ podium will be featured prominently on our social media channels. Or you can just try again next year;)
