You want to fix a swing to the tree – then our “Swing Set” is just the thing!
The wooden swing beam is firmly connected to the“Static Support” and pressed directly against the tree using the “Distance Rings”. If the tree grows in width, you can remove the Distance Rings piece by piece – so the tree can continue to grow undisturbed and the swing beam remains undamaged.
If you want to fix your swing beam between two trees – just buy 2 Swing Sets!
Important note for mounting the GTS Friend – loosen the nut again:
It can happen that when trying to loosen the nut, the entire screw turns out with it, especially in softwood, the following helps:
The nut must be well greased (thread and contact surface of the washer).
Lubricate the thread of the GTS Friend in the tree with PU glue to increase friction.
If necessary, help yourself with a pipe wrench to loosen the nut.
Assemble the swing beam:
The Static Support must be firmly screwed to the wooden beam! We recommend:
ø 12 mm carriage bolts
ø 6 mm stainless steel wood screws
The wooden beam must lie directly against the tree.
Slide the Distance Rings onto the outside of the shaft – these prevent the beam from slipping outwards.
The wooden beam should be pressed against the tree. If the tree grows wider, simply remove your spacer rings bit by bit – this way the tree can continue to grow undisturbed while the GTS Friend is wrapped around it tighter and tighter.
